And the digging is done…
And finally the last bit of digging is completed. It’s been a messy job and it’s taken a long time but now all the floors are level.
When we moved in we had four different levels across the cottage as it had at one time been four cottages, and some of the floors were in a poor condition that became damp when it rained… so when we decided to put in underfloor heating we decided to dig out, level, insulate and put in a damp proof membrane… and now we’re almost done it feels like such a milestone.
The last corner will be hand poured tomorrow and then the insulation goes down for the underfloor heating.
And then the fun job of sorting out the plumbing and drainage as the floor is lower at this end of the house than it was!!!
