Growing season

The vegetable patches are coming along nicely since we stopped the rabbit from getting in to nibble everything.

We have more radishes than we know what to do with and we should have potatoes up until Christmas (fingers crossed!). The squash might be a bit too late in the season to produce anything but it’s looking leafy and with lettuce, cucumber, leeks, spring onions, peppers and chillis planted we will hopefully have lots of home grown produce – we’re not exactly self sufficient but give us a few years. 

Still planning on getting chickens but with diggers coming in to make some holes we thought we’d better wait until the messy, noisy work is completed.
