Bringing the outside, inside. Home office.

Even though the roof leaks, and the list of things is endless we decided to start on the home office as we’re both self employed and so it is one of the most important rooms in the house… and one of the smallest!

As the cottage hasn’t been lived in for quite a few years there is lots of damp and loose plaster so the first job was to knock off all the bouncing (technical term!) plaster and turn on the dehumidifier,

We’re not really grey people, we like colour to bring rooms to life so decided to paint this room green, bringing the garden in so even when superglued to the desk, we can at least feel like we’re connected to the view.

Randomly we also realised we have a boarded up window something we didn’t even notice was there. It doesn’t have any glass on the outside so we’re presuming this used to be a larder from one of the original cottages, as it has mesh instead. Eventually we might reinstate it as a window. Windows are another thing on the list, the list is getting longer.
