It’s the little things

We’ve still got things like flooring to decide on but as there’s so many options we’re just living with the screed and some rugs to help with the dust. But it’s finishing the small things that make a room start to feel complete… and a lick of paint!

The living room had one windowsill that was just concrete and it got so cold and damp from condensation we thought we’d try making a wooden sill.

So we cut some thin insulation to help protect the new wood from any moisture in the stone and then cut two pieces of timber to screw down. We also created a bullnose edge and as with all the windows in the house some overlapped edges too.
