A little more destruction
How does the old saying go… it’s going to get worse before it gets better! Well more floors have been dug up, more walls have been pulled down… but rooms are starting to take shape.
What was once a dining room, a teeny kitchen and a bathroom is now one large room. Thankfully we’ve not discovered anything too daunting underneath floors but we have uncovered decades of wallpaper patterns!
Here’s some before and after shots of the dining room (nicknamed the blue room) and the teeny kitchen leading through to a bathroom.
The kitchen is now a lovely size and will hopefully look something like below by the time we’ve finished. French doors to a patio are going in next year when we’ve dug back the garden and we’re also hoping to put a multi-fuel stove in the fireplace once we’re pulled out the old back boiler.
The bathroom will become a plant room with all the gubbins for the underfloor heating, the boiler, fuse box etc etc and there’ll also be a small cloakroom accessed by a door round the corner.
